Abstract

Tom Hopkins, a Senior Vice President at Sherwin Williams, shares his memories of going to Cleveland State (CSU) as a graduate in psychology. He talks about how the professors at CSU gave him direction when he was feeling lost, and ultimately they helped him achieve his job at Sherwin Williams. Hopkins mentions his beginnings and how he got to CSU, and he spends time talking about what his responsibilities are for Sherwin Williams. Finally, he spends a great deal of time talking about personal responsibility and passion for CSU. He believes that the university ought to explore ways to connect with potential donors by way of emotion rather than a sense of obligation alone.
