Description

Artists Reception for India Flint and Susan Gaylord 6:30pm to 7:15pm.

Susan Gaylord artist talk 7:30pm.

India Flint works with cloth, paper, felt, weaving, stitch and bio-regionally gathered ecologically sustainable dyes (a long-winded way of saying "windfallen leaves, bark and earth pigments). Author of 3 books, she travels with a small cauldron and large pockets collecting windfalls.

Susan Kapuscinski Gaylord has been working as a visual artist since the late 1970s. Ten years of calligraphic work were followed by involvement in book arts where she is best known for the Spirit Book Series. Susan teaches and lectures about book arts and her journey as an artist, and works with hand-lettering, digital compositions, and bookmaking.
