Description

An invitational exhibition and workshops featuring Ohio artists who recycle books from their original form to alter their appearance and/or meaning.

This exhibit of book arts created by Ohio artists marks the beginning of a collaborative project between the Department of Visual Arts and the Lorain County Community College Library. The library is providing discarded books from their collection to the Department of Visual Arts for students, faculty and staff to create works of art. The faculty will be incorporating the book arts project into their course curriculum starting this fall, 2014.

The project will end with an exhibit of the work created by the college community in February 2014 in the exhibit titled Book Ends II in the Beth K. Stocker Arts Gallery at the college.

Curated by Nancy W. Halbrooks and Susan G. Paul and presented with support from an LCCC Foundation Campus Grant in collaboration with the Stocker Arts Center.
