Abstract
Jerrry Schumacher and two of his friends drove from Cleveland to Huntington Beach around midnight on July 4 looking for a party on the beach. When they arrived around 12:45am they saw three men fishing on a pier and asked if they knew of a party. The men stated that they did not. Schumacher and his friends returned to their car and left.
