Abstract

This Chapter recounts Eberling’s familial history and early childhood. This section details multiple placements by the Children’s Aid Society, Eberling’s accusations of sexual abuse, temper tantrums, early sexual behavior, tendencies toward homo sexuality, difficulties at school, a desire for attention, and stealing. All information for this chapter was attained from Humane Society and Children’s Bureau record, and from reports from Lakeside Hospital, babies and children’s hospital and Rainbow hospital. Also from interviews with Cindy Cooper, class mates, and Richard Eberling, Also Psychiatric evaluation from Cuyahoga County Child Welfare Board to Children’s Aid indicating that Eberling might develop a psychotic state, and that it might be best to institutionalize Eberling for the rest of his life.
