City leaders and politicians followed the lead of Cleveland Press reporter Betty Klaric and pushed to clean up the region’s natural resources and hold polluters accountable. Here, councilmen hold a piece of cloth stained with water pollution. Sinkiewicz and others would also bring legislation to separate stormwater and sewage lines to reduce the pollution to the river and lake.
