Description

The Ohio Supreme Court ruled on June 1, 1956 that Dr. Sam Sheppard did receive a fair trial in 1954. Three judges felt Sam was fairly tried and properly convicted while two judges felt there must have been reasonable doubt in the minds of the jurors because they deliberated for 5 days. This article includes summaries of the Majority and Minority opinions.
