Description

Sam Sheppard's new chief defense counsel, Paul H. Herbert, filed a brief today with the Ohio Supreme Court asking for Sheppard's immediate freedom, and a new trial. In it, he reiterated William J. Corrigan's contention that "newspaper publicity prejudiced public opinion against Dr. Sam and made it impossible to seat an impartial jury in Cuyahoga County."
