Author Biography

Chatham Ewing works at Cleveland Public Library as Digital Library Strategist. Before working at CPL, he worked at a variety of institutions all over the United States including New York Public Library, NYU, Washington University in St. Louis, The University of Mississippi, and the University of Illinois. During his career he has alternated working as a collections librarian and a digitization librarian, but at CPL he does both. A member of the American Library Association, and a sometimes member of the Society of American Archivists, he has served on national and international committees addressing the issue of libraries and digitization. He holds several master's degrees and a PhD in English from the University of Missouri, and has published and presented on topics including library practice, special collections, digitization, and social networks.
