Description

The family scrapbook. We all have one lurking in the closet just waiting for a little TLC. This informational session will offer guidance on how to preserve family scrapbooks for future generations. ICA Paper Conservator Jamye Jamison will touch on everything from types of storage materials to simple changes, which can create a more usable object. Basic preservation techniques people can do at home will also be discussed. Participants can bring one example to share from their own collection, and a guided group discussion will help each person formulate a preservation strategy to save these important pieces of family history.
