The Wonder of Will: Celebrating 400 Years of Shakespeare

First Folio! The Book That Gave Us Shakespeare will be at Cleveland Public Library in 2016! The Folger Shakespeare Library’s tour of First Folios is traveling across the United States and one of its stops is at CPL. From June 20 through July 30 Ohioans will have a rare opportunity to read from the pages of the 1623 First Folio, a compilation of Shakespeare’s plays, including Macbeth, Hamlet, and The Tempest.

CPL is also planning a host of Shakespeare-themed events from April through December becoming part of the world-wide celebration of the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s birth and death.

This program is made possible, in part, by the Ohio Humanities, a state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
