Abstract

Charles Bryson lived next door to the Sheppards. He stated to police that he was informed of Marilyn Sheppard's murder around 9am on July 4 by Arthur Paine. He had returned home from visiting a friend in Mentor, Ohio, at 10pm on July 3 and did not see anything strange. He stated that the Sheppards' dog, Koko, was usually a quiet dog and was kept inside during the night.
