In this half-day workshop, you can learn about the 260-day Mayan Ceremonial Calendar with Maya scholar and activist Ajpub' García, currently in residence at the Morgan as an apprentice.

You can calculate your own birth date on the calendar and learn about its role in both historic and contemporary Maya communities. Then, using Morgan handmade paper, make your own small book in the traditional Mayan screen-fold format and decorate it with the appropriate calendar signs and information using simple printing techniques.
