"Chemical techniques" revealed small specks of blood in the garage of the Sheppard home, 33 days after Marilyn's murder. Detective James McArthur is quoted as saying "The killer was a man in confusion, running about like a chicken with its head off . . . he was apparently in a state of panic, not knowing what to do."
