Abstract
There are myriad of Big Data sources; everything from internet clickstream and social media content (tweets, blogs, Facebook, etc.) to video data, call center data and research and development. How big is all this Big Data? Approximately 2.5 exabytes of data is being created daily as of 2012, and it has doubled about every 40 months [McAfee and Brynjolfson, 2012]. More data cresses the internet in each passing second than was stored on the entire internet 20 years ago. companies have the opportunity to work with petabytes of data in one data set. A petabyte of data equates to one quadrillion bytes, or the equivalent of approximately 20 million filing cabinets filled with text.
