Description
I am Control Portfolio Leader within the Information Technology of Progressive Insurance. I have worked for Progressive for 18 years but have been in my current role for a little over 2 years. Prior to my current role I spent the previous 16 years in various Accounting and Analytical roles supporting or Customer Service, Agency, Real Estate and Claims areas.
I graduated from John Carroll University in 1993 with a degree in Accounting. Before my career began with Progressive I spent 4 years in various jobs including public accounting and manufacturing. I passed the CPA Exam in 1997.
One of my career highlights was winning our Company-wide Edison Challenge in 2013 in which I came up with a new business idea to answer a business challenge, formulated a business team and led our team to be recognized as official Progressive Inventors.
In addition to my day to day financial role I spent 10 years recruiting college students for our Accounting Rotation Program and led a company-wide Mentorship program for 5 years.
Students who are interested in working for large companies with international name brand recognition in any area of business would benefit from this presentation.
