Abstract
Mila Hyunar, a representative of the Czech Cultural Garden, discusses the history, culture, and importance of the Czech community within Cleveland. As of 2005, her husband has been involved with the Czech Cultural Garden for over twenty years. Ms. Hyunar discusses Czech culture and history, generational differences within the Czech community of Cleveland, and influential members of her community. She discusses her feelings about the recent growth within the Cleveland Cultural Gardens, additions to the Czech Cultural Garden, and the role of dedication ceremonies at the Czech Cultural Garden. Other topics include the land that makes up the garden, busts within the garden, and how the garden is maintained.
