Abstract
This interview was conducted as part of Cleveland State University's 50th Anniversary Commemoration effort. Bill Napier is currently the Secretary to the Board of Trustees at CSU. Napier is a native of Cleveland, Tennessee. Napier came to Ohio initially as a graduate student at Ohio State University and was hired on as President Harold Enarson's Executive Assistant while pursuing his degree. Bill worked for the Board of Regents for a number of years before he was approached by CSU president, Micheal Schwartz, about coming to Cleveland to work in government relations for the university. Of particular interest are Napier's accounts of Governor James Rhodes and CSU's first president, Harold Enarson. Also of note is Napier's description of his role at CSU since his relationship with Micheal Schwartz.
