Description
This photograph taken on a warm summer day in 1925 shows a very crowded Playhouse Square. The recently completed Cowell & Hubbard Jewelry Store at 1305 Euclid Avenue offers its many customers private viewing rooms as well as well-appointed main showrooms. Colorful awnings hung ever so carefully above the Euclid Avenue display windows keep the shop comfortably cool during the blazing afternoon sun. A new F.W. Woolworth’s branch will soon be built on the site occupied by Clark’s Lunch; Crane’s and Bash’s. A Lindner CoY advertisement further down the street beckons fashionable women to shop there
