Abstract
Associate Justice Sonia Sotomayor sits during a group photo at the Supreme Court in Washington, Friday, April 23, 2021. In a guest column today, Cleveland law professor Doron M. Kalir writes that we should listen to Sotomayor, who in a recent dissent upbraided the court majority for its repeated failure to defend the Constitution's Supremacy Clause in cases involving Texas Senate Bill 8 - opening the door, Kalir argues, to wider mischief as states begin to emulate the Texas bounty-hunter approach.
