Abstract
In Senate Bill 52, which took effect in October 2021, the legislature gave county commissioners authority to ban wind and solar projects. Interestingly, at the same time, misinformation was flowing freely regarding renewable energy developments, including testimony on SB 52 that wrongly stated solar panels leach harmful contaminants, Energy News Network reported, citing an American Clean Power official. It’s no wonder Ohio is among the worst.
