Have you always wanted to see the Morgan Conservatory or learn about the art of papermaking? In March 2027, during CSU's spring break week, you can do just that with the Friends of the Library!
The Morgan is the largest arts center in the United States dedicated to every facet of papermaking, book arts and letterpress printing and to cultivating the talents of established and emerging artists. An international destination, the Conservatory is a working studio, gallery, gathering place for the community, educational hub and purveyor of some of the finest handmade papers in the world.
The tour includes a walk-through of the facility with a brief introduction to all of the studios (paper, binding, print, and open studios) and a stroll through the Sam Caraboolad Garden, where plants are grown for papermaking and natural dyes and is one of the largest groves of cultivated Japanese Kozo in the United States.
The guided tour will be followed by lunch.
Registration will open during fall semester.
