Description
Sam Sheppard's brother, Dr. Richard N. Sheppard, and two other persons, received threatening letters asking for extortion money of up to $25,000.00 in exchange for the letter writer to come forward and take responsibility for the death of Marilyn Reese Sheppard. The man, James Howard Lett, was captured by police and he gave a confession.
