Unexpectedly, Judge William K. Thomas, releases Sam Sheppard on $50,000.00 bail, and agrees to postpone his preliminary hearing on the murder charge until two days later. The timetable of today's quick paced events are described here in some detail. Upon leaving the courtroom, Sam Sheppard was asked by jailer, Mike Ucello, "Where's your radio?", to which Sheppard replied, "you keep it for me"..."Ill be back".
