Program Description
Promoting open education on campus can be a daunting task; many stakeholders are involved, the scale of the challenge is large, and while some aspects of the program may be flourishing, others may be stalled or struggling. At Cleveland State University, through a DOERS Student Success through OER Rubric Grant, we are systematically using the OER Rubric to identify gaps in our program, develop a plan of action, and strategically gather data. Viewers will learn about this valuable DOERS resource, consider ways to apply the rubric on their own campuses, and discover how one campus applied the rubric to refine the strategic goals of their open education program. Learning outcomes: —Describe the purpose and general structure of the DOERS Student Success Through OER Rubric. —Apply the DOERS Student Success Through OER Rubric to their own campus OER program. —Identify at least two areas of their own campus OER program that might benefit from applying the rubric.
