Description
Following the Travel Journal Workshop, guest presenters Amy Kesegich and Jared Bendis will share their travel experiences and journals.
About the presenters:
- Amy Kesegich is a poet and current chair of the English, Communication, Modern Languages and Theatre department at Notre Dame College. She has published poetry in Whiskey Island, California Quarterly, Frost Notes, Poetry Motel, White Pelican Review Rubbertop Review and Poetography. She has a chapbook, Spare Change, published by Bits Press. Her art journaling experiences began as a team-taught course on The Artist Journal with artist and professor Rachel Morris. Since then, she has been chronicling her travels — to New Mexico, France and the geography of her own mind — in a series of colorful journals.
- Jared Bendis is an award-winning installation artist, photographer, teacher, playwright and filmmaker. He is a specialist in photography, virtual reality and computer graphics and serves as the Creative New Media Officer for Kelvin Smith Library. As part of From Castle to Castle Films, he has traveled all over the world to create original programming, electronic travel journals and blogs about castles and culture.
