Description
Join Art Books Cleveland artist Melissa O'Grady to learn about hands-on methods for creating artistic books with your patrons--both children and adults. O’Grady is an accomplished bookmaker, comic book artist, toymaker, fiber artist who has created pop-up books, wooden books, and is skilled in various binding styles. She will lead this hands-on program in the creation of wonderful accordion style photo-books by using collage and adhering photos created and printed on site and will share hand-outs and advice for other bookmaking projects. This program is a salute to Octavofest: A Month-Long Celebration of Book and Paper Arts. During the month of October, Octavofest celebrates Northeast Ohio’s active community of book and paper innovators and our magnificent library and museum collections of fine and rare books.
