NOBS is pleased to present Conserving Tibetan Book Heritage, an Illustrated lecture featuring example books with conservation dilemmas by James Canary, Conservator, Lilly Library, Indiana University. A free lecture at Loganberry Books on Friday, October 5, 2018. This is the kickoff event of Jim’s Octavofest weekend in Cleveland for A Day of Asian Books.
Jim Canary is the Conservator at the University of Indiana, Bloomington’s Lilly Library. The Lilly Library is the principal rare books, manuscripts, and special collections repository of Indiana University, serving as a resource for scholars throughout the world as well as a center of cultural enrichment. He has expertise on Asian book history, conservation, and preservation, and has worked with ancient Tibetan manuscripts.
