Phyllis Moretti, a woman who knew Dr. Sam Sheppard in the 1960's, owns a copy of Endure and Conquer (a book authored by Dr. Sam) that she believes contains a murder confession from Dr. Sam. Moretti says Dr. Sam signed her copy of the book during a party at her beauty salon. Moretti claims Dr. Sam wrote "yes" on a page that asks "Did Sam do it?". This supposed confession became an important point of the 2000 wrongful imprisonment trial. Experts were brought in to analyze the writing and determine if it was authentic to Dr. Sam.
