Patrick Brouder Creative Media Brand Guidelines

Description

As a part of the COM 430 curriculum, students are required to work with clients outside of the university to design brand guidelines, promotional material, social media content and more. My client is a local freelance professional videographer, photographer and graphic designer. When we started working together, he was looking for a total rebrand and some solidified brand guidelines to help grow his clientele and networks. I utilized Canva for this brand guidelines presentation. The presentation (submitted in mp4 format) covers my clients business objectives and mission, colors, fonts, styles of photo and video etc. My client has been able to utilize his brand guidelines for promotional material and social media content. His new rebrand was a success and he continues to use this presentation for his brand.

Comments/Reflections

I really enjoyed working with a client to help him with his personal business while also helping me with my knowledge of digital production. Since he is a creative, it was really insightful to work with someone who does what I may want to do someday. This was my first time really diving into how to make brand guidelines and talk to clients about marketing and design goals. This hands on experience is something I can add to my portfolio as well as a great tool for my client and his future promotional content! His rebrand was extremely well received on social media and since then have received inquiries to work on other brand guidelines for other freelancers.
