The Cleveland State University Center for Economic Development, in partnership with JobsOhio, hosted the first annual Connecting Innovation, Policy & Practice Ohio (CIPPO) conference in Cleveland, Ohio in July of 2022. This event was made possible through a University Center grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration. The conference explored the present and future of innovation in Ohio and featured, among many others, representatives of the anchor institutions that make up the Cleveland Innovation District. The Cleveland Innovation District is one of three innovation districts in Ohio that promotes economic and community development through the creation of innovation opportunities and spaces. The panel discussion outlined below includes presentations from each of the panelists followed by a discussion led by moderator Bill Koehler. A video recording of the presentation can be found at https://www.csuohio.edu/cippo/cleveland-innovation-district.
