Clevelanders have long been involved in preserving and improving our natural resources. In the 1930s, many young men were part of the Civilian Conservation Corps, who as part of the New Deal worked to improve the nation's parks and public lands. Many of our Metroparks were built out and developed during this time.
Throughout the years, various projects have been taken on to preserve the health of our parks, clean our beaches, educate our youth, and more.
