Presenter Biography
Joseph Skonce is currently finishing his Master’s Degree in history and museum studies at Cleveland State University. He received his B.A. in history from The College of Wooster, completing his Senior Independent Thesis project on Piracy in the Atlantic World and “living history,” creating an hour-long living history presentation about pirates. Joseph has always had a passion for public history, hoping to educate others about history by making history come alive. Joseph plans on working in museums education or curatorial work, creating education content for museums. While his interest lies primarily in aquatic thievery, Joseph is interested in many areas of history.
[Regan Starks] is a history graduate student at Cleveland State University with a concentration in Museum Studies. I have an B.A. in history from Cedarville University. I hope to go into the curatorial field after I graduate. In the curatorial field, I would love to be either a cataloguer or a curatorial assistant, anything that allows me to organize and work with the artifacts from history. My interests in history include Eugenics, especially how the ideas spread across the globe and contributed to Hitler and his government's ideas about race and politics.
