Description

Sam Sheppard's brother, Dr. Stephen A. Sheppard, released a two and a half page statement from his home yesterday, which asserts the innocence of Samuel H. Sheppard. The typed statement, allegedly pulled from actual writings of Dr. Sam, has Sam Sheppard complaining that police were trying to coerce a confession out of him for a crime he says he didn't commit. It is unclear as to who prepared the final typed statement.
