Abstract

The title compound, C₁₆H₁₂N₄O₈, was prepared by the photochemical reaction of 9-methyl­anthracene and tetra­nitro­methane in dichloromethane. Intermolecula face-to-face π–π stacking inter­actions are present along the a axis.
