Abstract
Assessing relationship satisfaction is an important step in providing psychotherapy to romantic couples. Despite this importance, many counseling psychologists are uncertain how to quantitatively measure relationship satisfaction. This confusion is caused by an abundance of scales, many of which purport to measure different facets of this nebulous construct. The present paper will examine strengths and limitations of several different measures of relationship satisfaction.
