The Sacred Landmarks series emerged from conversations between Michael Tevesz, professor and founding director of the Center for Sacred Landmarks in the Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs at Cleveland State University, and art historian Lloyd H. "Sandy" Ellis Jr., author of A Guide to Greater Cleveland’s Sacred Landmarks. These oral histories, coordinated by staff at the Center for Public History + Digital Humanities at Cleveland State University, document perspectives on historic religious structures and the congregations that used them.
